What’s 23andme?
The human being is going to enter a new generation, so called genome generation. Just after some crazy scientists found out how to do the clone sheep, some genius developed other technology that we used to see on the sci-fi channel for the public. Do you ever wonder whether you have some bad genes in your body and these gene make genetic diseases happened in your family. Now you have a new way to figure out by yourself. 23andme is a company which deal with this kind of questions. You can pay a pretty fair price (about 1000 us dollars, cheap) to analyze your gene and compare yours to the prototype. All you have to do is to split some your seliva into a tube sent by the company and send the sample back. After the company analyze your gene they will send you an assess to view your data by e-mail. In the data bank you can check out whether you have any “bad” genes which are discovered by scientists about disease. Maybe you have to be careful about your cardiovascular system because your gene make you in the high risk of cardiovascular disease. Furthermore you can find where you come from. I mean, literally, where is your origin. Where is your grand grand grand grand father from?…haha..It sounds pretty like what the CSI do on TV for me. Moreover, maybe they can use these gene information from their data bank to create a perfect human, just like the reporter asked in the video….haha…It makes this whole idea become more and more sci-fi way…But i think the more important thing is what we can do to make ourself healthier with these information. I mean if my doc say this to me ” Well, we find some gene which probably will make you sick in your 60s or 70s.”, what we are gonna do? ็ ๆ้็ทด lo…dude…
